Who we are

Scope is a disability equality charity committed to creating an equal future with disabled people. Through doing our work on accessibility, we want to break down barriers and help organisations build inclusive experiences for all.

Accessibility means that disabled people can access your content without any barriers present.

Our Accessibility Specialist holds a Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies (CPACC) qualification from the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP), has five years of hands-on experience in the accessibility space, and lived experience of disability.

What we offer

Digital audits

We’ll audit your website against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, identifying common barriers that may prevent disabled users from accessing your content.

  • We test using a range of assistive technologies to understand how real users interact with your site.
  • Our findings are explained in plain English, helping you and your team understand what needs fixing, and why it matters.
  • You’ll receive a handover workshop that walks through our findings and recommended fixes, with time to ask questions directly to our accessibility specialist.

You will get:

  • A comprehensive spreadsheet with each WCAG criterion marked as Pass, Fail, Advisory, or Not Applicable (N/A), organised by page.
  • Clear, actionable comments to guide your fixes.
  • A presentation deck summarising key finding, shared during the workshop.
  • An hour of our time to use as you require once the workshop has been delivered

We know WCAG can be complex, there are 86 criteria to navigate, and we’re here to guide you every step of the way.

Digital accessibility support

Alongside doing an audit we can support you and your teams with accessibility.

From advising on brand guidelines. To helping you embed accessibility in your organisation.

PDF support

The team can also show you how to make your PDFs as accessible as possible. We can show you how to tag a PDF to make it accessible to some assistive technology users. And explain common accessibility issues that are in PDF reports.

Pricing

Our pricing depends on the breadth and depth of the audit. If we are testing multiple pages, or one user journey, or an app. There is no fixed price for an audit.
