We believe all aspects of society need to advocate for disability awareness and equality. As part of our work, we work with businesses and public service organisations to help them do this. We want to create a society where all disabled staff, jobseekers and consumers have equal access.
To do this, Scope believes in the social model of disability. This says people are not disabled by impairments or conditions. But instead the barriers in society. We support organisations to recognise these everyday barriers and remove them. But we also understand the challenges organisations have with accessibility and inclusion.
