SGN
SGN are a gas distributor network both in the South East and in the Scottish Borders. They have 5.9 million customers across both regions.
They focus on innovation and are working on many exciting projects. For example, the use of hydrogen gas and a positive impact scheme for community help.
SGN are one of the original members of the SUM. They are funders of our Disability Energy Support (DES). They have worked on many projects with Scope and given us valuable insight.
UK Power Networks
UK Power Networks supply electricity in London, East England and South East England. UKPN covers over 8 million households in South East England. They’ve recently worked on an innovative project. The goal was to give fuel vouchers to credit meter customers.
UKPN is one of our key partners. They help fund our Disability Energy Service (DES). They have been an amazing source of information for all SUM members.
EDF
EDF is one of the biggest suppliers in the sector. They have 5.22 million customers. They are also a generator of electricity in the UK and in France. They are the largest generator of zero carbon energy in the UK. They have insight into energy generation and the future of green technology. This knowledge is incredibly useful to all others in the SUM.
OVO Energy
OVO are a supplier with over a million customers covering the whole of the UK. OVO prides itself on its net zero targets and a customer focused approach to the supply of energy. They also have many social projects. For example, they aim to plant 1 million trees each year in the UK.
Wales and West
Wales & West Utilities are a gas distribution network. They cover South Wales and the South West of England and have 7.5 million customers. Wales & West Utilities are investing £2m every week so the gas network is fit for the future.
They cover a large and varied geographical area. This means they can provide useful insight on cities and rural communities. Wales & West Utilities are funders of the Disability Energy Support (DES).
South East Water
South East water supply 2.2 million homes in the South East of England. They have a great local community fund and they’re actively working to benefit their community.
With Scope, they are researching how to improve and use the Priority Service Register (PSR).
Anglian Water
Anglian Water provide water to 4.3 million homes. They cover East England, from Grimsby to Milton Keynes. Anglian Water is proud of its commitment to clean drinking water across its region and aims to be best in class.
Anglian Water are one of our original SUM members. They have done research with Scope on water management and the Priority Service Register (PSR).
Anglian Water are funders of our Disability Energy Support with Water service (DES). The DES supports disabled people struggling with their energy and water bills.
Outfox the Market
Outfox the Market launched in 2017, and they are an exciting newcomer to the industry. They are aiming for net zero energy for all and they have great social programs.
